Most fanfiction out there is written for the enjoyment of the author. So two characters don't get together in your favorite anime? Then write them together. Snap. Instant gratification. Or maybe you enjoy seeing your review count make its journey towards infinity, so you write to appeal to the prepubescent teens that make up 90% of your audience. Whatever it is, somewhere along the way, good writing got lost.

Here is my own little treasure trove of jewels in fanfiction that I have collected throughout the years. I didn't create this with the intention of sharing it with anyone, but I figured there had to be a few poor souls out there looking for more than just a quick, dirty fix.
